I spend 6 hours a day, 5 days a week at work, which is mostly sat at a desk behind a computer answering phone calls and dealing with emails and paperwork. This is typical of a ‘Transport administrator’ and I enjoy the hustle and bustle of the office. What I don’t enjoy is the plain and boring office decor, luckily I’m allowed to adapt my surroundings.
I try to bring a little ‘sunshine’ to the room, mainly with my sparkling personality and wicked sense of humour, but occasionally I get the chance to show my creative talents too – usually around Christmas time and our quiet periods.
I love sharpies because they come in a range of colours and most importantly they are permanent, an excellent marker for drawing on your drunken friends face when they are passed out.
‘I decided to pimp up my work keyboard with a rainbow effect – hopefully it will last a while, but even if it doesn’t I don’t care because I can re-do it. It took me 2 mins. Anyone can do this in any colour or pattern. I love it and now my desk is ever so slightly different in a weird and wonderful way.
