Puppy Power.

I would like to introduce the newest addition to our family. We have named him ‘Milo’.

Milo the Amazing.

We have ‘ummed and ahhed’ about getting a dog for the last couple of years. Both Andy and I grew up with dogs in the family home and it brought us both a lot of pleasure.

I was only a child when our little German spitz joined the household, he was a re-homed dog from a sanctuary and quite elderly. He was already house trained and could do a few tricks. I remember the laughs we had as he was half blind with incredibly bad breathe, but he loved to chase cats and poo on your bed pillow. (No joke)

I couldn’t help remembering how ‘Barley’, our family dog brought us closer together and I wanted the kids to experience how a dog becomes a loving member of your family.

When Andy said he was thinking about it again, I didn’t hesitate and started looking at re-homing centres nearby. So many beautiful dogs, but most wanted a quiet home with owners that would be there all day and could provide them lots of one on one attention. It didn’t seem fair bringing them into our crazy, loud, mostly messy home.

We opted the puppy route and I for one could not be more pleased. Milo is an 8 week old labradoodle. As cute as a button and very mischievous. I’m also so impressed with how smart he is.

We have found he already loves Miller, he’s chewing his toys, following him around and will lay or sit next to him if he’s around.

Look into my eyes!

He’s already destroyed my slippers and has now claimed them as his own.

They now belong to me!

My slippers are literally as big as he is.

I will destroy them!!!

Bath time was not his favourite thing to do, but he loved being brushed and groomed afterwards.

Peek-a-boo, I see you!

He’s not had all his vaccinations yet, so we can’t socialise him around other dogs and can’t take him into the big outdoors for walks, but I can tell he’s going to love it. He loved the garden, especially the long grass!

Yay! Green stuff!

Ruby has a really good knack of getting decent pics of him looking all kinds of adorable, I usually end up with his butt or he moves as I snap. Here is one last picture, as he’s so adorable and I’m a proud mum.
